Audrey Assad 是美國新澤西的當代基督徒女歌手，她出生在宗教信仰的家庭裡，從兩歲就開始學習鋼琴，但成長過程中受母親影響，聽過不少世俗音樂也受到父親的影響吸收了法國與中東的音樂。

Assad在佛羅里達州當地演出時，她說她的音樂型別更像是鄉村結合平凡的吉他鋼琴演奏。而第一張專輯《Firefly》則像一張鄉村音樂歌曲的專輯。

她的音樂風格混合了宗教與非宗教的主題，更多的是為上帝唱歌而不是唱關於上帝的歌，正是因為這種融合的成長經歷，讓 她的歌聲中既融合了空靈寧靜的感覺，又富有動聽的旋律，帶給聽眾別樣的感動。
